Let me start my review by saying this is the best meal I've had on my trip in Miami so far! I've spent all week blowing money on expensive restaurants with small portions and bland tasting food so I needed something better and I found Pollo Tropical! It was walking distance from Bayside Marketplace and I've heard such good things about it. This place is like an authentic Mexican chipotle. I was blown away by the 5.69 bowl and drink combo and all the ingredients looked so fresh! I had a avocado club tropichop and it was honestly the best meal I've had in Miami so far. I can never have chipotle again because of how great this place is. 5 stars for service, quality, cleanliness and overall amazing experience of food for such a reasonable price. I'm hooked!

Really disappointed with the service I just went through drive thru and gave the girl my order when I got to the window the order was wrong, I wasn't mad about it...it happens so I just simply said to her "sorry this isn't what I ordered sorry if you misunderstood me" with a smile, she rolled her eyes and then asked again what I ordered then gave it to me and slammed the window in my face she didn't say sorry or anything so rude!!! I understand people being in a bad mood but there is no reason to have that kind of attitude! Not nice at all. I won't be returning after that kind of behavior.

This place is kind of a hit or miss. I love pollo tropicals food, but this location is a little weird. Some days the food is outstanding, other days it taste like it's been sitting out for a few hours. Staff is typically pretty friendly but they usually seem to get my order wrong. If it wasn't for how close this place is, I would probably avoid it.

That's it! I've had it with this place! Being that they are POLLO tropical..how on earth can they tell me they ran out of chicken? Bullshit! The next visit which was about a week later, they skimped me on my order and had a huge attitude when k was checking my extremely large order at the drive through window. Sure enough, they had left out a fried yucca order. The guy told me to swing around and wait for it in the front. I waited for seven minutes. Then when I came in, they didn't even know what I was referring to. Now today, they ran out of "fried" food. More bullshit. They just don't feel like cleaning and actually doing their job. It was about an hour before close time so it wasn't like I showed up with three minutes left of service. When I asked for extra dressing, the rude waitress literally looked at me like she wanted to punch me. "It be in the bag" so I'm like yeah...can I have extra. Then she told me it was her last sauce. More bullshit. You have tanks of it in the dining room. Oh, not only did she not give me a receipt but she also forgot my rice and beans which I know she crashed me for because she confirmed it at the window with her broken horrific English. My wrap? Freezing cold pita with a sloppy and nasty interior, that was my dinner. I work way too hard to spend my money on food that tastes like this. I rather eat out of a dumpster than ever come here again. Who hires these people !?! They are the face of your company! I USED to spend about $40 a week here to feed me peeps. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

As travelers from SC we decided to try Pollo Tropical. We were pleased with location, it's interior and the menu. Overall chicken was moist and flavorful, there were several sauces you could choose from to add onto it. My favorite was the mustard curry. We also tried the yucca for first time and liked it. Good idea for a restaurant. Just could use some enhanced customer service training, as that could really bevthe difference. But we liked the food, so all tourists should try it.

I'm not much of a fast food person, but this place was excellent. Food was fresh and was excellent by fast food standards. Still good compared to a sit-down. Delicious!

I have been wanting to try this place since moving here a month ago as a good alternative to McDonalds etc. I ordered 5 grilled wings (they were deep fried) and a regular grilled Carib chicken sandwich meal. It was the only thing I ate today. I puked violently 3 hours later. Now I am enjoying my Friday night on the crapper. Thank you for the food poisoning Pollo TropiCRAP! NEVER EAT HERE.

My first Pollo visit since moving down to FL from NY. The place was clean and the food was excellent. Very good value for the $$$. I got the Quesadilla salad and a small chix quesadilla on the side. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is b/c the girl at the register was not very friendly at all. Seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. I would go back and since then I checked out the one near my place in Delray. Same experience. Good food, unfriendly service. Oh well, at least the food rocks for the Money. I say Go Pollo!

It's been two hours and I am still wearing my rage face. I am appalled at the quality of service I received this evening and I will never return to this location. I came in just after ten- the restaurant doesn't close until twelve. I began by ordering a #1 with rice and beans. The cashier glaces nervously behind himself at a mostly empty pan of dry looking chicken parts sitting under a heat lamp. Whatever, I think to myself, it's a four dollar meal. Next I place my second order, a chicken spinach wrap which is currently their feature item. The cashier informs me that they don't have any wraps available. I'm thinking okay, maybe they just ran our of wraps, no big deal. I switch over to a chipotle chicken sandwich combo with cheesy yuca bites as my side. Hold on, the cashier says, and he walks over to two women moving equipment around. He comes back and informs me that there are no yuca bites available. Again, I don't think it's a big deal so I ask for fries instead. "We can't make that either" he responds. I am really frustrated at this point. I can't have the sandwich I want, I can't have the sides I want and the one meal I can have looks disgusting. When I ask why the sides I want aren't available, I am informed that they are only serving food that has been pre-made because they are cleaning and shutting the kitchen down. Keep in mind this is a full TWO HOURS before their scheduled closing time. There were customers in the dining room, there were customers in line; I can only imagine how many people weren't able to eat what they came for. I closed out my order and left. If the staff isn't competent enough to serve the food I definitely don't think they are competent enough to follow sanitation and safety guidelines. Save yourself the hassle and find a different location.

Great tasting food for a great price, definitely a great for when you are hungry and dont want to go to a sit-down restaurant. For a fast-food place, this is 5 stars, overall its probably 4.5. This location seemed frequented by several of the locals, and the food tasted pretty on par to dishes we've had when visiting the caribbean. The food came out pretty fast, and it was actually pretty clean to dine inside. It was actually good that we dined inside (rather than drive-thru) since we had more time to look over the options and could stock up on the interesting sauce choices. The chicken was flavorful and a sizeable portion, but I thought the shredded pork portion was smaller, and needed more flavor (the guava bbq was a nice addition). Definitely would come back again just for their sweet plantains!

Not a good pollo. I live a few streets away and have been trapped in their drive-thru for over 20 min twice. Both times (mind you, was in the same week) they ran out of chicken :/ they did have chicken for the tropi-chop and both times this is what I ordered to find out that they were also out of yellow rice. In the end the rice was very wet and soggy. Also, on the second occasion the chicken looked boiled and stringy. Yuck! I'm glad to bring the rating down a notch here.. The one time I went inside there was a customer who was upset complaining that his order was wrong as was the last time he visited. The only reason didn't give one star was that no employee has been rude to me.. And so far I have held back the urge to be rude despite this. Haha!

Food wasn't terrible. It's hit or miss sometimes here. The nasty part is the ever present homeless guy who constantly uses the same serving spoons as you for the sauces. It's ridiculous! Inside and out we have to deal with this guy or the other guy hounding you at the drive thru to wash your windows. Oh and the Men's room, I think they use it to bath in there. Seriously, its disgusting.

This particular Pollo Tropical is just awful. After waiting 10 minutes in the drive thru line, I finally got to the order area only to wait an additional 5 minutes just for the guy to take my order. They were out of chicken. They were out of waffle fries. I tried to pay with my debit card, but their card reader was broken. I got home and all of the toppings and the sauce for my Tropichop were missing. What a dump...
